RESec HUB

Mission and Objectives

Mission

The SECURE (Security Education Center for Unified Resilience & Effective Communications) project aims to establish two advanced Research & Education Hubs (R&EHubs)—one in Ukraine and one in Georgia—drawing upon EU university best practices. Each hub will host three cutting-edge virtual laboratories specializing in cybersecurity for 5G and next-generation networks. These R&EHubs will serve as:

  • A foundation for developing practical laboratories and hands-on assignments within four innovative educational modules
  • A platform to train academic and technical staff through upskilling initiatives
  • A venue for conducting applied research and investigating cyberattacks in emerging technologies

A secure, interconnected platform allowing remote access by all stakeholders via the unified RESec HUB

Objectives

  1. R&E Hubs establishment
Build two fully-functional Research & Education Hubs (in UA & GE), integrating three remote-access cybersecurity laboratories each.
  2. Innovative course development
Design and launch four unique per-credit courses focused on 5G+ network security.
  3. Web‑based platform delivery
Deploy a unified R&EHub web platform for collaboration across academia, industry, government, and civil society
  4. Teacher and staff training
Deliver professional development and capacity-building for academic and administrative personnel.
  5. Cybersecurity community building
Create a cross-border cybersecurity community focused on 5G and future technologies—facilitating cooperation, research exchange, and knowledge.
  6. EU standards adoption
Promote and implement EU cybersecurity best practices, frameworks, and strategic documentation on 5G and beyond.
  7. Upskilling & research integration
Support staff upskilling, apply research projects addressing cyberattacks, and foster lab-based investigation initiatives.
